North American AJ-3 Savage

Last revised December 22, 2001

The Savage was a large aircraft to try and move about on an aircraft deck, where space is at a premium. In order to address complaints from the field, a smaller and more compact version of the Savage was requested, designated AJ-3. The AJ-3 was to have had a smaller wingspan and was to be shorter, but the proposal never got past the initial design stage.
